We saw a 6.3 per cent increase in the number of sales from April last year, as well as an 18.8 per cent increase over March 2019. The average price for residential properties increased by 3.9 per cent from April 2018 to $589,324.
We've seen a surge of listings this March, kicking off what looks like a healthy spring real estate market. The overall residential average price was up from March 2018 by 4.9 per cent to $575,099 for the entire RAHB area.

November's market trends and activity report now available! “November and December are typically slower months in real estate, which is why there is a decrease in the number of new listings for this month,” says O’Neill. “With the decrease in new listings from the same time last year, combined with increases in average sale price for detached homes and townhouses, it will be interesting to see what the market will do for the remainder of year and leading into 2019.”
October's market trends and activity report now available! October saw a 13.1% decrease from the same month last year in the RAHB area. Year to date, sales are 17.7 per cent lower than last year at this same time. The sales-to-new-listings ratio was 60.1 per cent. This is higher than last month and on the cusp of returning to a seller’s market.
September's market trends and activity report now available! The overall residential market for the RAHB area is in a balanced position. “A balanced market is good for everyone – buyers and sellers both,” says RAHB CEO George O’Neill. “There is a good inventory of listings and a good number of buyers. The three-month inventory of listings is the highest we’ve seen in a September for the last five years.”
