Tree lined streets and large brick century homes at the base of the escarpment make Delta a beautiful neighborhood to be a part of! This family friendly community is both tucked away (you can see kids riding their bikes on the sidewalks) yet still close enough to get to fun restaurants and access commuting options along Main (either head to the GO station downtown or the Red Hill).
Where is Delta? Outlined by Main, Lawrence (the base of the mountain), Gage and Kenilworth. King St runs through the middle on a diagonal, dividing Delta East and West.
What is the average house price in Delta? $673,500 (July 2021)
What are the houses like in Delta? Pretty much all the homes here are built in the early 1900s. Almost all the homes in this area are detached, though there are some apartment style homes mixed in. The average home in this area has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and is about 1350 square feet.
Is Delta safe? You can check out the latest crime activity across Hamilton with the police crime mapping tool, linked below to see how different neighbourhoods compare.
What are the best features of Delta? Gage Park! Located on the west side, Gage Park is a 30 hectare multi-use park. Featuring lush gardens, paved pathways, a tropical greenhouse, fountain, baseball diamonds, tennis, lawn bowling, playground, splash pad, children’s museum, and bandshell. It plays host to a variety of community events throughout the year!
Thinking of moving to Delta? Take a drive, bike or walk through the communities to get a feel for it. Some of my favorite places to check out would be Gage Park, Caro for some Italian eats, or Cafe Baffico for a little donut break.
