What are the houses like in Gibson/Stipley? The majority of the homes here were built sometime in the 1910s and 1920s. About half the homes here are detached, closely followed by apartment style homes. A small percentage of semis and row houses are also in this area. What are the best features of Gibson/Stipley? Tim Hortons Field! Located in Stipley, this multi-purpose stadium is home to the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, the Forge FC, and hosts many concerts and events. Playing fields have been on this land since 1913, with the first stadium being built here in the late 1920s. In the 1950s, Ivor Wynne stadium was built here, and in 2014 the whole thing was rebuilt and dubbed Tim Hortons Field.
Thinking of moving to Gibson/Stipley? Take a drive, bike or walk through the communities to get a feel for it. Some of my favorite places to check out would be Tim Hortons Field, Bernie Morelli Rec Centre, Tall Tree Sandwich Co. for a quick bite or Vintage Coffee Roasters for your afternoon pick-me up.
